Actually I rep a lot of different people. There are some posters that come up with rep-worthy posts more than others. Sadly you are not one of them.

The threshold has a function in limiting the effects of some big swingers, as does the 24 hour limit. Could do the same thing by deflating the rep power ranks I suppose.

I originally had misgivings about how intimidating rep could be on folks who just want to have some productive exchanges with controversial topics, but my experience has been that it's only true in the less substantial topics where it looks more like highschool cliques at work.

For serious thinkers, I find I get just as much pos rep from those who respectfully disagree and productively respond to my ventured opinions.

Here is something that would be cool. If you click on the little star on one of your own posts you see the rep you got for that post. I would like it to show the rep other people got for their posts when you click on it to rep them. So I click on the star for trout to posrep and see that 4 people already negrepped that post (probably the norm for trout). Would be interesting.
