He's an ok defender. He's a good rebounder especially considering how he plays. He would seem to fit well in this kind of system. I still think the Jazz would need another star player and for Donovan to progress some more to be legit contenders.

I watched them the other night and it seemed like he hardly touched the ball. I think he’d be excited to play in our movement heavy offense. His defense isn’t that bad... he has length and moves well for his size. He’s no kanter.
 
I think people see “big, white, European shooting player” and they assume “slow, unathletic stiff.” Watch some videos. Guy runs the floor, he brings the ball down the floor, much better lateral movement than expected. Not a great defender but he’s by no standard a bad defender except by stereotype. 90% of other stretch fours don’t bring to the table what he does.

I can't believe anybody thinks a team in Utah's position should be trading their 3rd FRP in 3 years for a guy with one year left on his deal. The first twp picks were well worth the gamble, but this one isn't even close. That's the kind of move where you have to start thinking about firing the GM, and DL is way smarter than that.
