Or maybe people are tired of the public school system and what comes with it. Public schools in 2023 are not even close to how they were in 1950, 1999(When I graduated) or even 2010. Now schools are telling parents to enroll them elsewhere. Good thing Florida has a bully scholarship that helps with these situations!Under His eye

True. There are many area where the schools used to be better funded.Or maybe people are tired of the public school system and what comes with it. Public schools in 2023 are not even close to how they were in 1950, 1999(When I graduated) or even 2010.
Back in the 1970s, we kids were told to handle bullies ourselves. I can appreciate why you'd want to return to that."She told Local 10 that violence in and around the school is overwhelming administrators, with those in charge urging her to enroll her three children in a different school.
Her mother claims that her two older children have also been bullied during their short stint at the school, adding that they have done nothing to help since they joined on January 9."

That's a measure of how times have changed. It was never OK for high school kids to pick on 9-year-olds, but we didn't expect the schools to handle it. Those of us with working parents had to figure this stuff out, whether it was going to school in a group, taking alternate paths, tracking down their parents and shaming them, etc. Now we expect schools to ameliorate hunger, provide social work, mainstream those who have trouble with factory learning styles, deal with parents who take their children's side (mine did once or twice, but it was very unusual) in addition to teaching. Your nostalgic comments about '1950, 1999, ... 2010' are a complete failure of perspective. By being glib, I was actually being kind to you. You have no clue what it was like.@Al-O-Meter one of those posters I commented about earlier

9yr old girl vs teenage boy and another boy. Yeah she should handle these bullies herself. Seriously you just post to argue not to discuss. You are doing exactly what claim others do. No value.
Sometimes you handle bullies in other ways than by taking them on.The video of the bullies she should just take on:
More evidence that our government on both sides are siding with big industry. This rail industry has been pulling strings in government for decades. It doesn’t matter who is in power. Go ahead and debate who messed up worse and with what legislation there plenty of blame on both sides. From deregulation to blocking strikes this is completely bi partisan fascism.

Yeah anyone paying attention knows this country is run by corporations. Look at the bank bailouts, the auto industry, hell even all the excess spending and tax cuts and breaks given through lobbying and back-door deals that come to light. The bridge to nowhere in Alaska. **** like that goes on all the time. We have allowed a system to develop where whoever throws the most money at the individual legislators gets whatever they want. Lobbyist control Washington, not us. They listen far more to them than they do the voting tax-payers.
I'll continue to criticize the MAGA faction of the Republican party as they are unique in their willingness to do harm to subsets within the U.S. population with no shame or apology.Yet still constant bickering and circle jerking going on here. Even full on support and the defense of pharmaceutical industries when someone displays some skepticism. It’s very strange. My very first post was about how corrupt our government was as a whole, yet I was very quickly labeled and trashed like others here with any opposing perspectives.

This is not simply a "both sides" thing just because neither side is particularly good. The MAGA faction is special and unique and something apart from "traditional" U.S. political pandering to corporations.
I don't remember what you specifically said earlier but if it was something along the lines of MAGA isn't any worse than what the democrats are doing then I would have emphatically disagreed with you.
I have seen very little defense of the pharmaceutical industry as such, what I have seen is push back on unsubstantiated claims against them. The objection in that case is not on behalf of the pharma industry but to arguments made based on false premises.
I'm not "you guys" I'm me.Oh so you guys are still just gonna hold tight to the whataboutisms and the lesser of two evils?
You might figure **** out on your own eventually. Neither side is better and until people figure that out they will remain a part of the problem.
You’re a frog in hot water and they are turning the heat up on you. Hell you might even be turning it up on yourself.

I said one thing that you seem to have intentionally breezed past. MAGA is different. MAGA actively "otherizes" me, other members of my family and have targeted people I love to have their basic rights taken away. MAGA has made themself my enemy and that is how I will regard them.
I have no special love for democrats but they haven't threatened my rights and freedoms in anywhere close to the same way the MAGA movement has. It's not the lesser of two evils, it's the enemy of my enemy is my friend.
