Why didn't you just cure cancer? Don't hold back man.Yes. The difference between me now and me then is that when I was 7 there was no online forum to platform my ideas.
This. Has anyone actually heard Carlesimo speak? I hate to make a joke, but watching it tends to contextualize Spre's actions a little.I bet Spree would’ve killed himself for Sloan. PJ’s a douche.
I hated the trade as a kid too, Murdock and Edwards were good for the Bucks. In the summer of '92 we sent Blue Edwards, Eric Murdock, and the 23rd pick to Milwaukee for Jay Humphries and Larry Krystkowiak. I was like 7 at the time and remembered not liking the trade. Blue came off his third season averaging 12.6 points. Eric Murdock was our first round pick from the year previous (I had his rookie card pictured below FTW).

Jay Humphries was going to be 30 and had just averaged 14 ppg. And Larry Krystkowiak, well, the only thing notable about him is that he has been coaching the U. Larry played one year with us and we let him go as a free agent. Jay played 2.5 unimpressive seasons with us until we ended up trading him to Boston for... Blue Edwards. So we ended up having Blue Edwards to show for that trade, no Eric Murdock, and no 23rd pick. Eric went on to score 14.4 ppg, 15.3 ppg, and 13 ppg in the following three years for Milwaukee after the trade.
The 23rd pick? Not that notable. Milwaukee selected Lee Mayberry, who had a 7 year career. Unknown who we would have selected had we retained the rights to that pick. Who did GSW pick right after Mayberry was selected? None other than Latrell Sprewell. Could he have been our Jordan stopper?
Thanks, Layden.
Hornacek once said that he would win a fight with Sloan but would definitely lose at least one teste.
You are correct. I misremebered.Wasn’t Frank Layden the one who said that?
Nobody fights with Jerry because you know the price would be too high. You might come out the winner, at his age. You might even lick him. But you’d lose an eye, an arm, your ********* in the process. Everything would be gone.

I doubt it's a coincidence that Hot Rod called him that too.I hated the trade as a kid too, Murdock and Edwards were good for the Bucks.
I remember my family calling Larry Krystkowiak "Krisco" like Crisco because the ball would slip out of his hands like they were covered with shortening
