Ric Bucher reporting Jazz have signed Randy Foye to a 1-year deal

We'll see how this signing pans out, but ultimately, I am just thrilled that the Jazz are FINALLY committing to the 3/spreading the floor/whatever. That's much bigger than all of the pieces from this offseason.

Poor.

FT/100min, last season:

Burks 15.1
Favors 14.0
Millsap 12.1
Harris 12.0
Miles 11.9
Kanter 11.7
Hayward 11.6
Howard 9.8
Marvin Williams 9.7
Jefferson 8.5
Evans 6.3
Mo Williams 5.4
Carroll 5.2
Foye 5.1
Watson 4.5
Tinsley 3.5
Bell 3.2

Are you trying to tell me that Jefferson went to the line more often than someone else in the NBA? I don't buy it. I think your data was corrupted.

Not sure if this already got posted:

Jerry Zgoda: To get an idea of the market remaining for SGs-- i.e. Ronnie Brewer, etc. -- Randy Foye just agreed to a 1-year, $2.5M deal w/ Utah Twitter

Doesn't sound bad to me.

Foye is almost 30 already, thats what sucks about these guys playing out until their senior season. I like Foye though. In fact, I feel this signing to the 100, though this bars Smash Wash getting signed :(

Damn, this offseason has been some'n crazy.

Can someone comment on the value of salaries going forward? I perceive Randy Foye as better than 2.5/year. But i have not adjusted to the new salary structure. If we consider Foye the 8th man or so in the rotation, does that seem about right?

Jefferson
.................Millsap
Favors

Hayward
...............Williams
Burks
................Foye
Williams

(Kanter, Carroll, Evans, Tins, Watson, + maybe 2nd Round dude)

Well he does touch the ball a lot. Change the stat to FT attempt per shot and I'm pretty sure Al would be one of the worst in the league.

And look at Assist to Turnover ratio for Centers. Guess who's #1?

I'll give you a hint: he plays for Utah and is often referred to as a "black hole."
