Roe v Wade Obvious Consequences

That's incredibly unfortunate. In my old job we had a specialist women's hospital (separate hospital, separate organisation) within the footprint of our hospital, when we would have say a pregnant woman who was a road trauma or something like that, we would call them to support, even then their capacity to support was heavily dependant on resourcing. Really tough situation.
This is the freedumb voters voted for in 2016. They knew who Trump would nominate. They just didn’t care until it started to impact them personally.

Where’s the “pro life” movement now? You’d think they’d be up in arms over these poor women suffering like this. It’s almost like the pro life movement was just a bad joke. It was always meant to put a friendly face on weirdos wanting to control women.

The American medical system is very different from what you are describing. The Sacred Heart Emergency Center mentioned in the article isn’t in a hospital. It is in a mini-mall next to a tailor, a haircut shop, and a pizza place.

The street address is: 9774 Katy Fwy Suite 500, Houston, TX 77055. You can put that in Google and get a street view if you want to see it. It is a shop that services cuts, scrapes, broken bones, flu shots, etc. It isn’t a hospital.

A woman in labor walked in the front door and the staff told her she needs to be at a hospital with doctors, the medical devices, and facilities to handle obstetrics. The minimum wage EMTs they have on staff there at the mini-mall to stitch people up are little more qualified than if the women had walked into the pizza place a few doors down. The staff then called an ambulance to come get the women to a hospital.

The story is then cobbled together mentioning the overturning of Roe, which has nothing to do with why the mini-mall cut and scape store wasn’t equipped to handle the delivery of a baby, but it made content for dumdums who think it proves their preconceived notions correct.

the Democrats really, really want to run on this issue in November. We have a crazy situation where the Republicans are trying to rush through legislation to codify abortion rights in Arizona while the Democrats are doing what they can to stop the codification of abortion rights so the issue doesn't get solved and forgotten.
lol. Great take bra.

This aged like potato salad left in a car on a hot July day. Then again, this is our local village idiot. When was the right time he got a prediction right?

Personally, I wished Democrats had left this issue be. Arizonas should’ve felt the full “blessings” of Republican rule. But because Democrats consistently must act as the parents of weird oppositional defiant children, they bailed the state out.

I hope voters remember which party is actually attempting to govern responsibly and punish the party that is playing to the extremes of its cultish base.

How is this helpful? Is this the type of society we want to live in?

Because of these restrictive abortion laws, doctors are hesitant to provide women with health care over fear of facing costly litigation or possible prison time.

How is this good?

Utah is already seeing effects:

Our own health care system is suffering because doctors don’t want to work in a state with such restrictive abortion policies. How is depriving people of health care being “pro life?”

You can tell that Texas is a pro life state cuz. Well… uh oh

And now women are forced to pay (mentally and physically) for their infants dying! Yay!!! Can you feel the pro life-ness yet? It’s like Trump’s tinkle down economics!

Who other than the freaks on the right who think Dump and Vance are cool, think this is a good idea? This is like totes Pro life, amirite???

So what if I'm doing recess duty and a kid falls from the monkey bars and breaks their leg and splits their head open. I try to can the parents but they aren't answering. The kid is just ****ed?

Or is it specific types of healthcare?

Edit: pulled up the tweet. Is says healthcare for child who has been sexually assaulted so my scenario it would be fine to get them the healthcare they need.

Next question. How often do kids get raped by their parents? Are there statistics for that? Are they even accurate?

Not sure. But Children are typically raped by someone they know well. Typically a family member, pastor, coach, etc.

Don't forget scout leader, plenty of them just love to molest.

Not to go too far down the rabbit hole, but one ward we moved into years ago was dealing with allegations of the scout leader for the ward being accused of molesting like 3 or 4 boys in the ward, from like 8 years old to 12 years old, on camping trips. I met the guy and his family at a ward event right before it all blew up. His wife was gorgeous. He had a successful career, something in the medical field, can't remember what, but he was rocking a couple of mercedes and had the big house on the hill kind of thing. Had 4 kids, including 2 sons in their early or just pre-teens. And he was molesting young boys on camping trips. Turned out the allegations were true and he went to jail over it all. I say all that just to say, I don't ****ing get it. He was maybe 38 years old. Wife was maybe 30, and incredibly attractive. Had it all. But felt an overwhelming need to touch a boys wang for some reason? I just will never understand that ****. Glad he went to jail. I never heard if he was molesting his own kids, but I think the thought in the ward was he was not. Just other people's kids. This **** happens way too much. What is the weird drive in so many men to groom and molest so many kids? I'll never understand all that.

Anyway, rant over. Back to your regularly scheduled political ****-throwing.
