Also, Whiteside is from North Carolina and went to college in Huntington, WV. I grew up 30 minutes from MU, and West Virginia is as hillbilly as it gets. Hassan, I think will love Utah. Probably a factor in why he chose us as well. Been wanting him on the team since he was with the Herd, and I remember a lot of you guys wanting him here too.

I thought he slipped in the draft. I thought he still had potential when he left the league. I wasn’t surprised (more miffed) when he started putting up huge numbers. I thought he became underrated when he ended up on minimums the past couple years and was envious of having the luxury of having him on a minimum.
