Rubio traded to Jazz

Opposite. It significantly lowers it. It now makes sense why the reports of Teo to the Bulls were happening. Jazz probably informed him they were either getting Rubio or Hill and not to wait for them.

I disagree. Rubio is much lower priced and not as good as Hill. It only makes sense that the Jazz would have a greater chance of spending MLE-type money on a backup PG now.

According to @FiveThirtyEight CARMELO ratings, Jazz just upgraded from a "key role player" (Hill) to a "borderline all-star" (Rubio)

The more I think about this, the more I like it...

I don't know. That's got to be why we are doing this, right?

Rubio doesn't really entice Hayward to stay.

Wait, what? Rubio is one of the best ball distributors and ball handlers in the league. He's not a shooter, but we're not bringing him here for his shooting.

Sorry, Saint Cy of JFC, I'm talking about Rubio vs. Hill. I now realize you're probably talking about Rubio vs. neither Rubio nor Hill.

I think this move came down to not willing to wait on Hill to make a decision. I would bet the Jazz offered him a relatively fair market value, but he wants to get as max of an offer as possible which means hitting the open market and letting the bidding commence. Gordon will announce what team he plays for probably in 5 days or so and the team needs to be proactive now so waiting on Hill I think would've been foolish.

I just really want to know if this is the Millers being cheap ****s or a move the Jazz think actually improves the team.

Hey NAOS can you post my "Hill is a stopgap" quote in here? Thanks
