Rubio traded to Jazz

Rubio getting a coach who's actually good offensively might help a bit.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I prefer Rubio to Hil, and I said that months ago. I have real faith in hm,

I know Thibs isnt some offensive mastermind, but he is really good with PG's as he puts the ball in their hand a lot and tells them to score.

This is Quin's first real PG, so it will be interesting to see what he is able to do with him, but let's not act like Quin is some PG Whisperer.

and BTW, this could bode well...

Ricky Rubio and Joe Ingles were teammates at Barcelona and are good friends

As long as the T-Wolves don't use that capspace to go after Hayward, I'm fine with the trade. Ricky is creative and when you don't expect to get 4 adequate shooters long term, you'd just go from 3 to 2 and have Ricky work some Magic and utilize narrow gaps.

If Hill really did turn down that money today I'm over him.

My man crush is officially over Mr. Hill.

Why would anyone agree to money before hearing other offers first? Hill has never had a huge contract in his career. This is his time to set up his family and his family's families for life.

If the Jazz take Kevin Love in a deal with the Cavs and prevent Paul George from going to Boston, that'll feed two birds with one muffin.

Let's not get all Latrell Sprewell up in here. Dude has made 37 million before taxes so far in his career. That's contracts alone.

Like I said earlier today, I can see a reality where the Jazz are better with Rubio over Hill, I just don't think it's likely.

This feels like the last T'Wolves trade for Al Jefferson. Talented player, but bringing him (a square peg) into a round hole. The fit feels wonky unless the Jazz change how they play or that Rubio 2nd half shooting is now the norm.

I think there are several variables here.

1) The Jazz may lose Hayward. Rubio allows them to still be competitive without Hayward, and a really good team with him.

2) We can now trade to get a player we couldn't if we had signed Hill. I'm pretty sure we will, so that adds an asset as well.

3) We can match Ingles easier, as he will have a bigger market Ike you're saying.

4) We can now play more uptempo, and I think Hayward wants to. We can still be elite defensively and run more.
