12'3.5" / 3m75 Thanks @p3sportscience ! #unathletictheyusetosay #idontforget #salut https://ift.tt/1JvnaXH

That would mean max vertical jump of ... 32.5'' if I'm not mistaken.

Unathletic they used to say. It's like we're in a fairy tale. Gobert is the truth.

Can't be more excited about this kid's future. Defensive stud and he's working to improve on the offensive end. Sky is the limit for him. And his drive is contagious. I've seen more heat and fire in all the Jazz players since Rudy came on the scene.

Love the hashtags. . .

Unathletic they used to say

I don't forget

What excites me more about this kid is his mental attitude. That is what makes winners. Gobert is the truth when it comes to having a chip on his shoulder.

Why does everyone take their shirt off for this?

I'd never wear a shirt if I looked like that ... No homo but that **** is sexy.

Dont think anyone ever said that.

Actually, that's exactly what DX said. . .

He's not an off the charts athlete, though, as he looks somewhat heavy running the floor at times and is not terribly explosive in terms of his sheer leaping ability. He tested out fairly poorly at the NBA Combine in a number of different categories, even if it's difficult to gauge exactly how he compares to his American peers in these tests as it was likely his first time encountering them. He does not appear to be anywhere near as athletic as the likes of physical specimens such as DeAndre Jordan or Javale McGee

Best shot blockers are not the elite explosive jumpers (although it would help on rebounding and on the offensive side). The elite shot blockers have length, and are elite in the anticipation of timing the block attempt. When we don't explode over someone, you have to know how to be more economical in your moves over your opponents. Length, smarts, timing wins out everytime. That's what Mark Eaton did. Rudy's a better, longer athlete but he has similiar timing instincts. If he could get to Marks' anticipation skills he could be the best of all time.

They said he had quick feet and was athletic for his size. He still isn't as athletic as McGee or Jordan.

He's smarter and anticipates better than McGee and Jordan. He utilizes his quickness much better. Franchise level defender.

Who gives a crap exactly what they said?

To Gobert they questioned his athleticism and he took it personal and it stoked that fire. That's what matters.
