Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell

I heard in a Best Buy parking lot that Rudy will be back next week. When he returns, how do you see Rudy and Donovan's chemistry working out?

As a Rudy homer I feel like we haven't seen the real Rudy all season. Tank or no tank (the latter is correct) Rudy is going to play when he is healthy, and he will play hard.

With the rise of Mitchell how do you see the two meshing together? How do you think they will fair in a PnR situation when Rudy returns and in the future?

Also how will our defense change? I feel if DM is given a chance to guard his man closely and channel him into Rudy good things will happen.

I’m hoping when he returns that he’ll have a new front court partner launching threes from Montenegro. I expect some poor offense if he’s only got 1.5 shooters on the floor with him.

I hope Gobert improves. Hasn't been the same this year.
I hope Quin improves. If he continues to trot out the Gobert/Favors/Rubio lineup, I'm gonna explode. Every single one of us on this board knows those three can't share the floor together, yet Quin has refused to see it.

DL needs to save Quin from himself and trade Favors before Gobert returns.

i'd rather he trade rubio first

Not that the best buy source has ever been wrong but I think it came out today that Rudy is expected to miss more time.

Favors will be gone one month from now.

I think DM and Rudy will be just fine together. DM is such a versatile guard, I don't think there's any "type" of player that he can't play with. Plus, he's still learning how to effectively play the PnR so there really aren't any bad habits and/or types of guys he's accustomed to playing with. It's clear that Rudy was more effective with a guy like George Hill who gave him the ball on a lob, and I'm sure DM will be able to make that adjustment.

My biggest question heading into this offseason is, what the heck do we do with Rubio? It's not working, and I really think we'd be better of rolling with Exum (he'll be back) and DM and seeing how that duo works together in the backcourt and not have Rubio's minutes throwing a wrench in that duo developing chemistry.

Good. They need to be very careful with a PCL injury. They’re not terribly common, and can lead to an ACL tear and a full year of rehab if they bring him back too early. I’d honestly be fine with them shutting him down for months at this point. Better safe than sorry.

As long as Rubio is on the floor with Rudy then he'll be terrible on offense. Pray that Exum makes it back and is starting before Rudy gets back then maybe Rudy will look like an average offensive player again.

Mitchell is not that good in PNR. Exum is better at that than Mitchell.

Won't matter. Favors is not the problem. If Rubio is in you won't see the Gobert from last season.
