So what’s the phenomenon called?
Idiocy.

Rudy hasn't played anything close to a top 10 player this year and it's not even close. His numbers are down, his fire is down and so is his health. He's not even a top 10 rebounder in the league. I'll be the first to brag about Rudy if he becomes a top 10 player, but he's not and never has been and it's not even debatable.Holy smokes dudes. It's been mentioned that this roster doesn't suit Rudy so let's get rid of our arguably top 10 player last season, who hasn't been healthy for a good portion this season, was rushed back etc and is now out again.
You don't get rid of your franchise player in favour of a roster filled with players who might not be here next season or players who are simply put, role playes, and are replaceable.
If the player does not suit the vision of the franchise, then maybe you have a point, but he is the biggest cog of our identity, and what the Jazz stand for.
I'm all for creating discussion and debate, but this is now a little comical.

It's comical to me that people on Jazzfanz over value Rudy so much. Move Favors but Rudy is not untouchable.

Look at our lineups with him playing and tell me which net difference is anything but bad/mediocre.
QFTmate you are ridiculously myopic.

Fwiw I don't think a single person considers rudy untouchable. Pretty sure all of us could think of at least one other player that we would trade rudy for.Rudy doesn't "has" to go like is said in the OP, but Rudy shouldn't be untouchable either. That's just foolish.
Even before the injuries this season, Rudy has been exposed a bit, and the refs haven't granted him superstar status yet. Bad hands and no calls does not make one untradeable.

Yeah his numbers are down and he has had back luck with people falling into his knees. But last season he was a phenomenal player. The defensive gravity he created was something no one else in the league could duplicate. He was arguably top 10 last season. He will be so again. Gobert and Favors are not on the same level. There are three lineups that have been good with Gobert.
Gobert/Hood/Ingles/Mitchell/Sefolosha net rating +60
Gobert/Burks/Ingles/Mitchell/Jerebko net rating +28
Gobert/Rubio/Mitchell/Ingles/Sefolosha net rating +67
Only one lineup used by the Jazz has played over 100 minutes so far this season and it has Gobert, Favors and Rubio in the lineup. Those three combined are death and should not really be used against any of them individually.
This is all from your link.

The title of Archie's future memoir:
Years of Not Getting It: feeble-mindedness and Hurley T-shirts
The notion that the Jazz should be open to trading Rudy in this thread was met with a colder reception than hookers at the General Conference.
lolYou're the guy who just has insults and act like you're so much better than people - online. At least make an argument, man. Anyone can throw around insults online.
At the end of the day, most of the people that argue with my points on here are the ones that argue it with just insults, name calling and acting superior. I've at least made arguments and have provided resources that support my said argument.
One's civility usually matches up with their intelligence.
I think Quin already realizes it. He was benching Rubio in the 4th quarter and starting to play Neto more, but now Neto is injured, though he should be back soon. I think he wants to ease Mitchell into his role. And in any case, Dante is coming back next year and they will be able to play them together, hopefully.I don't think any player is untouchable. Yes, Jazz players do overate Rudy and other players. I agree Rudy wasn't a top 10 overall player but he should have been the DOPTY, being in Utah kept him for doing so. The problem is Rudy hasn't developed any offensive game and is now playing with a PG who does not know how to use him as an offensive player.
The Laker team is not one I would consider. I haven't given up on Rudy, I give him a pass until he gets healthy and Quinn realizes Rubio isn't the PG to run the team.
