I believe I’ve been as big a supporter of Gobert as anyone. I’ve said for a couple years he’s a top 7-10 player alone for his ability to affect a game with his defense. Sure he’s not a great scorer, but if a player can be considered great for his offense alone, why can’t a player who primarily affects games with his defense be held in just as high regards? We are nothing without Gobert and the jazz are probably robbing him for not giving a supermax deal.
