Here’s the other thing; is there an emerging player that’s going to take over his dominance as they come into their primes? I can’t think of any. Simmons might get one out of noise alone. Embiid is the Sixers offense, so I don’t see his defense catching up to Gobert’s D. Does Giannis have another in him? Draymond is certifiably beyond his prime.

Long story short, I think Gobert has a couple more in him. He seems to only get more skilled at being the most impactful defender in the modern era.
