Utah has proven they can win with Rudy exactly as he is, even with tons of room to improve our offense elsewhere. Even if Rudy doesn't improve offensively at all, if Utah can increase production from the SG/PG and bench, we are going to win a lot of games. I just don't see Rudy's offense as a big concern. Much more worried about the offense coming from the PG spot. It would be nice if Rudy could average 20 points a game, but even if he's around 10-12 PPG, I think Utah will be a force with increased productivity elsewhere.
In other words, Rudy is a badass as he is and we don't need improvement to love the guy long time. I get that, it's a given. My question is regarding how he can develop into something more. I have no clue about bball mechanics, footwork, shooting form, etc. but something about him seems off and EASILY fixed (with a lot of repetition from a damn near world class athlete).
Yeah, I just called Rudy a damn near world class athlete. Not world class as in D-Will I'm world class athlete I aint' losing no damn dodge ball tournament but the dude has all the tools there to be in the discussion. I think he can develop his screen and dive game into something special but it's going to take something I cannot pinpoint. Maybe Goose can chime in.
