Rumor: Gobert wants Jazz to decide between him or Mitchell

Trade them both. I definitely don’t want to build around Donovan. His defense actually got worse during the playoffs, not better. Don’t trust that he is committed to Utah at all. If they can’t rebuild around Rudy, blow it up.

Lmao, Dame, lmao you mean the guy who lost a first round series last year to a team starting a backup backcourt? That Dame? He made ONE deep playoff run. Dame was getting cooked on defense all series and people mention he scored ,50, and he did but he also had 44 put on him. I have watched that game multiple times cuz I was a huge Fan of Dame but his game has regressed and he complains to refs non stop. I saw him yelling at refs saying they hit my hand and then on replay his hand was not only not touched but the defenders hands were 2 feet away from Dame shooting hand. Dame is a product of NBA Twitter and casuals. He puts up numbers and makes highlights but look into it deeper and he limited and Donovan is not Dame either, not even close. Dame lights out shooter Dom is streaky. Sure he can make ten in a row but he more likely to miss ten in a row.

Rudy is not the bad guy Donovan and his lack of defense, his lack of being a team player is. Rudy talked about Booker buying in on defensive end and Dom and his people took it as a Dis even though he never mentioned Donovan by name but guess that's that guilty conscience thing by Dom and his camp cuz they know he meant DM even though he never said the name. Donovan Mitchell can go to NY Knicks and make playoffs and get bounced in first round every year but one, just like Carmelo who people thought was a top 5 player in his prime and he never was..only to stat nerds and highlight watchers...Donovan a Smaller version of Crymelo. Needs lots of shots, sure can get you 40 on 30 shots, doesn't play defense, ball stopped on offense. Guys like Mitchell are not players you build around. It's why even in All Star drafts he always goes at the end. Now we know Gobert does too because defense doesn't matter in all star games. My husband is Nuggets fan and he been telling me for years Donovan is most overrated player in NBA and how he would never fit Next to Jokic and Jamal Murray and I thought he was just being a Homer but he has been 100 spot on..trade Mitchell never going win with him . Terrance Mann, Jalen Brunson, Jamal Murray all get career highs in the playoffs with Dom being primary defender on them. Easy to find another Dom, not easy to find another elite defender at the 5 spot.

We have never had a Donovan Mitchell.

We had Mark Eaton who is more like Rudy Gobert than anybody we have ever had who is like Donovan Mitchell.
