RUMOR: Joe Ingles to be offered 4 years at $60M by Orlando

The NBA salary situation has changed dramatically in the last few years. 15 million is what you should expect to pay for top role players in this environment.

I was worried Ingles would get some truly ridiculous offer, but I think we definitely bring him back at this price.

Evan Turner's contract comes to mind. I LOVE Joe Ingles, but how is the alleged offer sheet from Orlando any better than that? I'd hate to have Turner at that cost.

Stupid question but IF (if) Ingles wants he can turn down the supposed offer and take a home discount right?

Yes, he has to agree to the contract with a new team, or the Jazz. Jazz just have the option to match an offer he agrees to with another team.

Sure. But if he actually signs an offer sheet, at that point the only option is for the Jazz to match or not.

60M 4 years - if I decide for Jazz easy match.
Esp if GH is undecided.
Jazz better be prepared with GH leaving and having Ingles back is one way to do this.

IF GH says "match the offer for my buddy, Joe, and I'll re-sign," Jazz will do it in a heartbeat. But let's see if Orlando really does offer $15M/per.
