Scab players

I don't think the owners would do this but I might be tempted to go and watch some scabs play the sport that I love. (at a reduced rate of course) but I. Was thinking it might be kind of fun to discuss who we would pay to see play. (on a second thought this isn't a strike so scabs could never happen this is a lockout)

The players aren't striking, so if the NBA opened their doors they would have to honor the contracts with the rest of the NBA players.

Now if it were the players striking instead of being locked out the NBA could hire replacement players.

I would be ok if we started over with new players. Start over with young hungry players who are willing to play for their contracts, and nothing else.
A lot of you wouldn't be down for this so I'm not sure it would survive.

What the owners need to do is give another ultimatum that they will shut the league down for 3-5 years if the players don't sign the agreement. That would essentially end the careers of most current players (Bryant and Garnett for sure and possibly Wade and LeBron?). I think once the players faced the possibility of having to go find a real job (one that only pays $30-$60K a year or go play overseas) I think they would sign in a minute.
