That may be but everything I can see shows them just trying to make it more contagious. Also if that is the case why go public with your ability to make it worse?

The "bird flu" was already a product of research labs, released into the target vector. Before that, the major concern for getting the new varieties spread around the world depended on airplane travel. That was inefficient, too slow.

This guy is essentially advertising his wares. . . . . "build a better flu virus, and the Big Pharma companies will beat a path to your door". And when they come they come with a truckload of cash. Now, how to be the first vaccine maker on the block with the vaccine everybody will need pretty soon.

A perfect model of engineered society.
