Scott Machado signed?

I remember seeing the videos on this guy and thought he looked like a good player. It almost seems to me like he just needs the right opportunity to shine. I wonder if there's another reason people keep passing on him? It seems certain players have all the tools but maybe have other issues? Still, he's worth a shot as a 3rd-string PG--especially if Burks is going to play some backup PG as well.

So I get that Lindsey likes to go to the track and bet on all the long shots, its his thing. I just hope that he also knows how to pick a favorite.

What? Like moving up to get Burke? Like keeping the ability to add 2-3 max players this next summer? Getting multiple draft picks in the deepest draft in awhile to try to move up?

Every team has their Ronnie Price's and Evans'. He knows we suck this year, and is giving a couple guys the chance to be that 12th or 13th man. Or maybe once every 5 years, you hit a homerun with a guy. This is nothing more than building goodwill, keeping options open, knowing under the new CBA, you will have 2-4 top dollar players and a lot of scrubs. That's it.

I for one approve of this signing. I was on the Machado bandwagon when his draft came and was sad when we both didn't get him and didn't get him on our summer league team or training camp roster. I like him being a pass first point guard and hope he makes the team. I actually like his chances better than Lucas.
