Favors looks to me to be an inch taller than Kanter. He looks maybe a half inch taller than last year. Kanter and Okur look to be about the same size, but Kanter has pretty long arms. I thought Favors looked pretty good, actually. He's so big that everyone has to react to him rather than the other way around. He had a nice finish on the break and a nice baseline reverse lay-up. He was keeping opposing players out of the paint, and he stuffed Kanter a couple of times. No one was scoring on him inside.
I thought Kanter looked okay. Yeah, a bit uncertain with what to do with the ball out on the floor, but that just has to do with knowing the plays and the players he's playing with. He had a good spin move baseline on Favors and then reversed and drew a triple team. He just needs to know to look for a cutter or shooter. He was pretty automatic on the defensive boards, which is his first job. He's a physical presence.
CJ looks good as a wing scorer. Evans showed signs of being able to score, although I'd love to see if he can put the ball on the floor for a couple dribbles. Once he shakes free near the hoop, no one can catch him.
Burks looks comfortable handling the ball and making passes to cutters. He didn't seem to shoot much.
All in all, I think the players were playing at half speed for most of the game, and just trying to run a couple of basic plays. Harris didn't try to take anyone, just move the ball around.
I'm really, really curious to see if Millsap has added another piece to his game--like a spin move, or a pull-up jumper off one or two dribbles, a hook shot, etc.
