See ya, Corbin.

Ty's gotta go. It's time. Hell, it's been time.

I'm not saying that another coach could win with this roster. And I believe in the tank as much as anyone. Let the losses pile up baby! But damn, we are nowhere near the sum of our parts. We can still tank and avoid entering the discussion for worst team in NBA history. There's no need for that. And I don't buy that the organization will let Ty stick around until season's end. They must be embarrassed.

Above all, it bothers me that this sorry excuse for a coach remains employed in one of the 30 premier basketball coaching jobs in the world.

Dennis, Greg...make the call.

So here's what I thought this thread was about.

Randy Rigby walks out of the locker room. Looks very frustrated. Not the usual happy-GO-lucky Rigby I am used to seeing

Dennis Lindsey just walked out of Jazz locker room. Took a very deep breathe as he walked out

Had been holding his breath?

From where I was sitting I could see Lindsey lurking nervously in the tunnel just before the half.

Rigby and greg lept from their seats and headed to the locker room....do they always go in at halftime?

I used to think Ty would get 10 games with Trey, now I'm not sure. I'm not a Ty hater, but something is really wrong, not any progress, too much standing around....I don't know but something. Maybe nobody could coach Lindsey's steaming pile of a team, maybe the flex is like a typewriter.

If we do fire Ty now, it's gonna look bad to the whole league - cos Lindsey basically gutted the roster of any decent players and the hiring of John Lucas III was the last straw.

It would be a very gutsy move by the Millers to eventually fire Ty.

You're kidding.. Coaches drop like flies on some franchises. No matter the circumstance.
Besides, the Millers have never fired a coach. So, why would it be any different from Mike Brown gettin canned 10 games into his Laker job? Or Byron Scott losing his job? Have you ever worked a job? It's not always going to be peachy keen and lenient just because you're new. And Ty, Ty ain't new anymore.

Last year really determined who Ty was as a coach. Yeah, Mo Williams was hurt for the majority of the year, but he had quite a stacked team.

Not everybody is a goodie two shoe like you think. It's been way beyond time for Corbin to grow out of the diapers.

I think the Millers pride themselves on integrity and I just can't see them firing someone who hasn't had a decent roster to work with (at least this year).

Well we didn't re sign Al and Millsap did we? We didn't "play it safe" we went hardball. If Lindsey was given the keys to shake up the roster, he's probably been given the keys to make coaching changes, but I'd say part of me believes Corbin will be here for the season. Ensures a good tank, but players morality is going to regress. Best believe that.

Are you certain that was the word you were looking for to convey your actual thought? If so, what sort of moral regression do you think we might expect to see?

These are all big boys making big boy multi-million dollar decisions. This idea of morality and loyalty should better be found elsewhere but is not an appropriate application here.

Let me ask a question.

Would you (yes, you) blame Ty if he was offered a new 3yr contract at double the dollars to coach, say, the Bulls?

If you said yes, you're clueless.

If you said no, why is the reverse not acceptable for ownership?

This country has very recently taken on such an incredibly absurd welfare state persona.

Wow. Are you really saying that if the dollars are big enough morality should go out the window? I don't think you really mean that, but that's how it sounds in this post.

I honestly don't see anything immoral about firing a coach (or anybody else) for failing to do the job that you are paying them for. That, to me, is what is happening here.

No, of course not. I said suggesting this is a moral issue is applying the virtue of morality to an inappropriate application. Its just not a moral issue.
