What's new

Semi Ojeleye and Tacko Fall.

Is Semi pushed down because this draft is so deep? (Genuinely naive here as I haven't had time to really research the draft much this year)

Watching highlights, I'm not sure what's not to like. What are the knocks on him or why is he projected so low?

His measurements. The Draymond comp in the video is a dumb one in some ways imo. Dude has short arms unlike the crazy length that Draymond brings. That and his 22 year old age are probably the biggest gripes.

my best guess is that he's seen as a power player at just under 6'7". wing length for a power guy. also just had one good year. was horrendous at Duke in limited minutes.

but man, i didn't realize he shot the 3 so well. looks like a more polished, rich man's Stanley Johnson.

The current mock draft by DX is bogus, just keep that in mind. It will look completely different in a month. They have a string of centers going in the mid first round to early second round that seems highly unlikely given what NBA teams desire and the over supply of capable centers in todays NBA.

With the possible absence of Ingles, and the need for a backup 4 and us needing to be as frugal with our money to throw the max at Hayward it is extremely important that we by all cost get this guy in a Jazz uniform on draft night. Our developmental staff are the excellent match for Ojeleye as well.

I like him but he likely has no where near the effect dray and artest did on defense. He's not long enough to play the four full time. Crowder is as close of a comp as there is I think. He's could be a better shooter than Jae though.

Let me just stash this article right here.

This man screams Jazz player. I could see him being that instant spark off the bench every night getting us some hustle points, dunks, the occasional 3. Especially when we have guys like Lyles on the team. That "work ethic" will get you far in the league.

Also basing off of his twitter he's really religious. Maybe we can convert him to full Mormon? I can already see #33 hanging in the rafters when he decides to retire 15 years later and "Im Semi Ojeleye, and I'm a Mormon" commercials splattered on TV programs throughout Utah and nationwide during the playoffs.

The more i watch Crowder, the more i think ojeleye is a lock for success in the nba. though i wish his rebounding numbers were better.

Semi Ojeleye gives this team something is badly needs. Energy, and a little nasty.

If you look at how big he is in terms of muscle mass, his athleticism and the fact that his work ethic is those of legends... I don't see why we don't draft him. With our player development the reward of drafting Ojeleye could turn out to be another Rodney Hood, or better type steal.

I'd like him and Sterling Brown.

Clicked on this thread in a panic that something had happened to my beloved Taco Bell. Sheesh, crisis averted.

May be the stretch 4 we need. But knowing our luck he will be drafted before we pick.

I don't think he's big enough to do it full time. He can likely do it part time... I think Jae Crowder is kind of a perfect comp for him.

I do worry because I haven't seen him in game... just highlight videos and people say he kind of floats in and out and you may not notice him for long stretches. I still like him quite a bit.
