What's new

Shaq

how much cap space will we have next year to keep him long term?
Maybe the full MLE. Maybe in the tax (taxpayer MLE, which is about half of the full).

I'm just gonna be happy. Just wish the Jazz held more advantages in keeping him.

Pretty sad that signing a dude at the minimum is the best news we've had this off-season. Well Favors was good, but mostly expected. So still...

His shot looks a little weird. FT and FG. Raises up then the slightest delay before releasing.
Got a hitch for sure, but he got both numbers up so that's nice.

It's not common, but there are better shooters with worse-looking shots.

All of these things exist within context. Signing Favors is great. Overpaying Favors after using their 1st on a pure center with no ball skills and then using FOUR 2nd-round picks in a desperate attempt to undo the financial damage is not.

Yeah, after watching that highlight vid who gives a **** about his shot. Gangster thief.
He’s a bully... I been saying the defense is worth the price of admission... any scoring or shooting you get is a bonus. Deflections also lead to easy opportunities the other way.

Mother ****ers Christmas came early this year.

Not to be a downer, but next offseason I don't think the Jazz have any real advantage over anyone else in keeping him if he pops here.

I mean he's 27 and will probably get 15 minutes a night, tops. If we really, really like him we should be able to get him back for somewhere under the MLE. No one is going to give him 12 million a year unless he is instrumental in a championship.

Wierd fact, he's only 2 years younger than Favors. . .
