The Kings are awful. They lost Isiah Thomas for nothing also. Two top NBA players lost for next to nothing in the last 3 years. The Kings had a really good stretch under coach Malone, and Cousins looked to be maturing and flourishing. But then the Kings remembered they were the Kings.
Adding Cousins would have made us an instant contender. He would have been well worth the risk. I'm personally okay with not winning a championship, and this team aint winning a championship without another major acquisition. And we won't make an acquisition as big as Cousins.
But this whole conversation is moot. We didn't get him. NOLA did. Good for them. We'll see how it plays out.
Well I guess we can see what happens first: The Kings become a playoff team or Cousins makes the playoffs.
I doubt either happens in the next 2 years.
Most of his teammates hate playing with him and he ruins locker-rooms. The dude is awful, just read about the **** he did to Nik Stauskus. As awful as their FO is, Cousins is equally bad when it comes to ruining players and making people hate him.
