Should the Jazz go for an upgrade at PG?

Couple trade ideas I have:

1) Sap, Harris, GS Pick and Bell for Granger and Collison

2) Sap, Harris, GS Pick, Bell, TPE and Miles for Iggy, Holiday and Nocioni.

It would make us a little thin at the 4-5 but we could always sign another big man preferably not Fes

I think it would be prudent to look for the right PG of the future, yes. Especially because there are no obvious stars for the next two draft classes .. PG's will become a real premium again.

Yes, but really who is available that is a clear upgrade from Harris? I would love to get Rondo because he is a game changer, but I don't really see anyone else available.

Well since Granger and Iggy are regarded as available, the Jazz could offer an attractive package to lure their young point guards away.

I don't think you are gonna upgrade on Harris. Harris is solid. The two guys you listed above have nothing on Harris.

I would love to pick up James Harden. I think he can play the point. OKC should be playing him at the point and Westbrook at the 2. But Westbrook won't like that

I love Harden's game. He knows how to make plays for other people and score. He is a very Underrated player IMO
I'd be willing to give up Sap, Miles, Harris, and Jefferson. Any one of those players or combinations of picks, players, and TPE

I doubt OKC would be willing to part with him but you never know

I am extremely high on Harden also. I think given the minutes he could easily be an all-star player in the future. Millsap + TPE for Harden would be a great move.

Not necessarily upgrade, definitely someone younger and can shoot, though.

Jrue Holiday ain't happening.

No one is going to give us Harden or Holiday unless we throw in some serious stuff that I don't think would be worth it. Collison can be had probably, but even he isn't a clear upgrade over Harris. He is younger, but that doesn't necessarily mean he is going to get that much better. Rondo seems like the only realistic option we can get because he appears to be on the outs. We would still probably have to give up Harris (Im ok with that) and our first round pick (or at least a future 1st round pick). Not sure if I'm ok giving up a potential top 10 lottery pick just to get Rondo. Still not sure if he will still be as productive without all the stars. If we can get lucky and just trade Harris and a future 1st (not one from this draft) then I would probably do it.

Why in the world would we give up Harris, Millsap, AND the GSW pick for (maybe) a slight upgrade at the point? I would much rather stick with Harris this year and see how he does, and then keep building through the draft with the GSW pick. I don't really want Granger or Iggy either. They would take minutes from our young wings and I strongly doubt they would make us contenders. We need to be a little patient this year and then see what kind of chemistry this team can build. If it's clear that the GSW pick won't get us a solid pg, we can still package it with Harris/Al.
