"Its just one game.."- Just one season.
That said reality is I think he's here for the season as much as Id personally like him fired, for the moment he is the tank commander unless he wants out before then.

A coach generally is held responsible for how his team performs. I do understand that this was to obviously be a down year and for the proper reasons. Our Offense is the same tired stuff that the Jazz have been running for years ( although sometimes it's hard to tell due to poor execution), our defense (though management has stated over and over Defense is priority #1) is absolutely pathetic. Better ( by far) coaches have been fired mid season many many times over the years. Example? Doc Rivers got the ax in Orlando after a game in which The Jazz beat the Magic badly in Orlando, the owners obviously were unhappy with how that team competed. Why is everyone circling the wagons to make Ty seem absolutely not responsible (Matt?). Either he should be held responsible (Ty) or all of our players ( and i don't accept this premise) are so pathetically bad that EVERYONE who was in the decision making loop should be fired. But to accept this situation is unprofessional. Is it possible for an owner to fire himself? Yes it is. It's called selling the team down the river (and city). And Greg Miller inspires no confidence in me at all. It may be too early to throw the coach under the bus but after about 25-30 games if the situation remains static then Ty must go.

All you folks harping on the tank mode stuff need to get over it. The Jazz are not tanking, those guys want to win games badly, they just don't know how. That said this season is a disaster and a new coach would have a leg up next year if he took over soon. To wait until this season ends is to invite another year of disaster.

DL let's Ty coach through an easier portion of the schedule before he makes him ultimate decision!!

All I know is Ty won't be here next year. What happens - coaching wise - between here and there isn't terribly important. Even if Ty was a good coach, this team is and will be in desperate need of a shakeup and new leadership.

That said, I don't see any obvious benefit in making the change mid-season.

Should we fire Ty? Absolutely not. After all the ridiculous things he's done over his tenure that the franchise has stood by, it would be totally asinine to fire him now when he's doing more to bring this franchise out of obscurity and darkness than any man save Larry Miller. He mismanaged every season. He's doing a phenomenal job this year for our goal, and this is the year we want to cut him loose? What the hell is wrong with everyone?

This.

Anyone that voted no should get banned for this site.

Also the Jazz shouldn't look elsewhere for a new coach. I really hope they give it to Alex Jensen.

I hope they hire Malone as an interim coach. It would at least make the post game interviews entertaining.

I guess my opinion is somewhat well known, but I'll say it again. Yes he should, but not really because of this season. This season is one giant clusterf anyway, and I kind of like the lineup changes he's making now. It's more that I just don't believe he's a good NBA head coach in general and there are other better head coaches out there.

For those who do think Ty has potential as a good head coach, does anyone think (if Utah lets him go) that he'll get another job as a head coach? I don't see it, but I certainly don't know his rep around the league.

LOL.. it's always funny seeing a mod trying to swear but can't...

The team is getting worse with every single game. They are regressing badly. Fire Ty. Move on.

This. We used to actually compete. Now we compete until the other team scores and then the team gives up.

I voted yes he should be just for the lack of performance (lately the players look terrible). But I do not think he will be. He finishes the season.

I repeat what I've said before, there's no way Ty won't be fired after performances like last night and the record. The FO expected to lose, but I don't they they expected to be embarrassingly horrible and totally non-competitive. 20-25 wins would still get us the same shot at the #1, at this rate, this team in on track to win about 6 games this year. You can tank, but still not go down in the records as one of the worst teams in NBA history. This is a proud franchise with a proud history, and what is happening is unacceptable, even if one's fully bought into the tank. If the Jazz end up at 1-20 or thereabouts, no way that Corbin won't be fired. There's not a sports franchise in the entire world that wouldn't fire it's coach with this bad of a performance and record. I'd bet Corbin won't make it to Christmas.

Let me say also that I"m a season ticket holder. I was all in for the tank, but even I'm losing interest now. I want competitive and entertaining games, even if we lose, what we're getting is just the opposite. It's crap and it's not acceptable. Corbin HAS TO go.
