What's new

Should we give Jeremy Evans a huge deal this summer?

If Sloan were still here Jeremy would be a borderline all star. DeMarre, Millsap, Kanter, Korver... Even Al Suckerson improved when he left. Greg Miller has turned this club into a training program for other teams. Come to Utah, get PT, leave to a contender. I could build a championship from ex jazz players and botched draft picks.
They sure look good getting swept against Lebron and his merry group of scrubs.

Group of scrubs? They were given 2nd best odds of wining it all going into playoffs. Its the conference finals for gods sake. Whats wrong with you man?
They were given second best odds of winning it all because they have LeBron.

They didn't add much more than LeBron to this team from last year (other than love who is hurt)
What was the cavs record from last year?

Darn, I guess we'll never know... Must be my arrogance talking, but I think you are overestimating the ability to slam dunk a basketball.
To be Evans I must do two things.... 1- Be tall 2- jump high
That's much more complicated than what it takes to post these ill informed opinions of yours, so I don't have any confidence that you could pull it off.

Think about Booker. He wasn't just signed as a player we like. His contract was structured in a way so that it was a trade chip. If you don't understand that, you won't get what Hedda is talking about.

The thing is that Booker can actually play. Ask the Millers if they are willing to pay $5 million for an end of the bench guy for trade purposes. What if the trade doesn't materialize?. I'm sure you can get better players who can actually contribute for 5 million. In this case I would rather give the money to Ingles.

Doesn't Jeremy's cap hold make signing him to a 5mil deal kind of pointless? We end up only going 2mil over the cap, and having only 6mil ish to spend on FAs. I know someone was talking about exceptions we could use if we go over the cap (2.8mil vs 5mil).

So I see the options as being the ability to spend 10mil on an FA then whatever exception we have, or spend our exception plus 6mil on an FA plus jeremy. In the end, would I be wrong in saying the difference would be whether we want more flexibility for trades or if we want to spend up to 10mil on a certain FA. I can't really see us giving out many small 2-3mil deals, we already seem decently deep at all positions, especially at wings. Idk if that made any sense overall lol.

It takes more than LeBron and 12 random Mickey mouses to win a championship. Vcavs are a really really good team without Lebron. When he has bad games they still win. He had tons of bad games this post season and look where they are now mate.

Millers arent willing to pay for anything. This is a business for them. They want to make the most money possible. It's why they tried to hold Kanters value down for years. They will stay way under the cap this year and wont compete.

Mark my words mate.

How good were the cavs last year without lebron?

How good were the cavs after lebron left them and went to miami?

How good was miami last year after lebron left and they still had d-wade and bosh?

Cabs were good last year before injuries. Miami was good this year before injuries. Wade is in decline. Thats like saying healthy Kobe makes Lakers good.

Cavs sucked last year when healthy.
Miami was healthy most of this year.
What about the cavs after lebron left them the first time? Let me guess, injuries right?

And of course a healthy, in his prime kobe makes L.A. good..... He is one of the best players of all time. Like lebron

Maybe one day you will learn that when superstar players don't play the teams usually get worse. (Paul George is another example) seems obvious

Have fun with your trolling. I'm done with ya. You are to easy

Okay I forget every exJazz player sucks. It doesnt matter if they are voted all stars. They suck because LeBron beat then in the conference finals.

No wonder players dont want to come here. The fans and the ownership suck towards them.
