At least I'm getting closer. I went from Markennan to Markannen. One day I will get it right. Or just stick to Lauri lol.

Was looking around at (esp. +/-, 2-man lineup) numbers yesterday for the team since they started winning. Amazing how important Fontecchio (along with Markkanen, Dunn) were in the winning (to the extent that raw +/- numbers tell us anything). Just having someone who plays the role well, is in the right spots, doesn't make mistakes, and doesn't compromise the defense seems to be so important, even if he doesn't put up big counting stats. He seems to have been the biggest key to helping unlock Sexton's success, for example. He's going to be missed until Hardy comes up with some more black magic to make a bunch of odd pieces fit together well.
Fun fact, if you put any stock at all in raw +/- numbers:
December 13 was when we turned the season around and started winning games. Before that date there was a clear top five players in +/- on the team (per 100 possessions; excluding the garbage time crew: Samanic/Sensabaugh/Hendricks) with a big gap before the #6 player. The same pattern holds since December 13 (five players clearly leading, with a big gap before #6).
Those lists of the top five players are not completely identical before and since December 13, but three of those players are on both lists: Dunn, Markkanen, THT.
