He might be a good fit here in Utah, he would make us much more athletic.

A trade that works is Millsap and Bell for Iggy. Jazz probably would have to add the #12 pick I would assume.

New lineup

Harris
Hayward
Iggy
Favors
Jefferson

Very nice front court and lineup.

Damn maybe not, he sucked this year in the season and the playoffs. I didnt know he was playing so badly. I figured he did well because that team did better than expected.

I actually love the idea of Iggy in Utah, but not at the cost of Sap. I realize we have a bit of a logjam at the starting 4, but I'd rather give Sap the chance to play the 3 before trading him away.

With AK's expiring deal now off the table, I really don't see Utah parting with any of it's current assests in order to get Iggy.

I think the Jazz make a run at Granger instead.

That's a very interesting name that I've thought about quite a bit. While I've said all along that I'd like to see Sap play the 3 before trading him away, Granger is one of those players that I would have no problem trading Sap for. Having his scoring ability in this offense would free up Favors/Jefferson so much it would be scary. Is Indiana entertaining the idea of moving him?

Trading Sap and the #12 for Granger and landing Brandon Knight @ #6 would pretty much be a dream offseason for me.

I've always been lukewarm on Iguodala. I'd prefer the Jazz go with young, cheap, and have the ability or the potential to develop a requisite skillset (in Iggy's case, shooting the ****ing ball) than go with an albatross deal for a guy that can cause you Rondo-esque floor-spacing concerns.

If Iggy could shoot, he might be a superstar. The guy is a prolific player, but shooting is one of the pillars of the game, especially for a perimeter player. I love that he can find space off the ball yet handle it and get his teammates shots. I love that he rebounds. I love that he's been their defensive workhorse at the same time and you can probably switch him onto almost anyone on the court. But the shooting thing... it's hard for me. At least at that price tag.

Haven't we already tried this experiment before? An overpaid wing that doesn't have range outside of a dunk?

If we really want Iggy we could just resign AK for much cheaper.

He's overpaid, like 4 millions a year as he deserves. He is almost paid like a superstar, but i would think about it. An athletic wing that can pass, play defense and drive to the basket, why not? depends on whether we can resign AK for 6/year or not.

No Granger deal happens without giving up the 6. And we'd need to take back one of their bad contracts. It would look something like Granger/Posey for #6/Memo/CJ and that's not enough (doesn't quite work under the CBA, either, but it's close) They'd push for the 12 or, more likely, next year's GS pick to be included as well.

If Sap is in the deal, that lowers the price on picks, but I'd bet KOC wants to deal picks/lesser players for Granger, not guys like Sap. My guess is he'd offer the 6 and 12 and hold out on the GS pick.

FWIW, he holds his opponent to a 9.8 PER while he produces 18.3 (best on the team). His adjusted +/- (+4.5) is second best on the team. By 82games.com's simple rating rank he is first and it's not close.

Iggy was hurt at the end of the year and into the playoffs. Knee, I think. He makes too much, anyway. I just can't see KOC being interested.

I don't think Utah goes after Iggy because of the extra year on his contract. Jazz don't have any non-rookie contracts past 12-13, and Iguodala has his own option for 13-14.

It's not a definite no, however. Jazz would need to be +/- roughly two million under current CBA rules to be able to trade for him, so around 11.5-15.5 million in salary heading back.

Scenarios include:

Okur + Bell/Miles
Millsap + Miles (but not Bell)
Jefferson straight up.
Harris + Miles/Bell

Don't think any of that is all that appealing to the Sixers. Would have to add draft picks and/or Hayward and/or Favors, and I'm not terribly thrilled with doing the latter two.

With them already having Hansbrough and McRoberts, I think they might find Jefferson more appealing (though Sap is more than just an undersized hustle-player now). That goes for any trade.
