Slam Mag: Deron Williams - 8th Best Player in the NBA

25 Al Jefferson
20 Carlos Boozer

Do you think that might have something to do with Boozer getting the ball fed to him on every scoring possession, with 4 other scoring threats on the floor every game over the past 5 years, while Al was putting up the same/better numbers against double and triple teams with no point guard?

Give it a couple of weeks into the season for Al Jeff to pass up Boozer.

Putting Williams ahead of Dirk is a decent compliment, I'd say.

How can people say that Deron has consistently had more talent around him?

Chris Paul has had David West (legit scorer and has been All-Star) and Tyson Chandler (lob machine) and a few solid Peja seasons (dead eye three shooter). As if those guys didnt help with a lot of his numbers.

At some point someone has to point out that Deron puts up his numbers in a system with cuts and ball movement. Paul dribbles around until he scores or finds someone for a 3 or dunk. Deron wins more. Its a joke.

Rankings are so gay. It's almost as if 16 year old kids write them. I would seriously like to see GVC and kicky make a list of the top 50 players in the NBA. It would be much better than any dude on the internet besides me.

Wait, if I read the article correctly, it clearly said "we think Dwill is the #1 PG", but then they rank him as the #2. Am I reading correctly?

Id put Gasol over Dirk too, Gasol is the only player currently who demands a double team every time in post-up situations.

Am I the only one who hopes CP3 has a tame and/or terribad/injured year?

I'm sick of all these "sure he has dealt with a ton of injuries recently, but he's still better."

Give them another year of that and we'll see what they think. Part of the reason D-Will was picked ahead of CP3 is because we knew CP3 was gonna get his **** smashed up while D-Will stays relatively healthy (knock on wood).
