Snyder to step down - Woj

Yeah, pretty sure Gobert will be dealt. Very curious to see if Donovan goes to. I know they want a rep in the ASG next year, but this constant treadmill to get blown the f' out in the playoffs is getting old.

Quin was great at developing guys and getting the best out of them. He would let young guys play and they'd be coached up to his standards. Once we starting plugging holes with vets like Conley, Bogey, Clarkson he wasn't able to mold the team anymore and his developmental capabilities became playing the same lineups, same rotations, same adjustments every single night. He became redundant.
Yeah, he was no longer coaching to his strengths. He'll be a coach who never coaches a championship team (unless he gets one that's all ready to go there), but gets teams knocking on the door. Like, he would be great as a coach for a team like the Warriors, where the main players know what they're doing, and his job is to get the next generation ready to take over.

This is pretty interesting. Quin had felt pretty toothless at points in the year and clearly he felt they weren’t going to listen or change. Is it a wake up call to Donovan and Rudy (if he’s here) or do they pack it up mentally and quit too.

I’m kind of glad this happened. It gives us a pivot point for Ryan to SERIOUSLY address the direction of the team and whether a complete rebuild is necessary. It also give Donovan and his team some self reflection time to see if they really are committed to a new coach and likely a bunch of new players. Can Ryan get past the fact we are hosting the all star game? (They denied it was a thing but the same folks that supplied it denied it… had to do it).

If the Jazz hire someone like Stotts or D'Antoni it means that they are going to re-tool the roster and try to stay as competitive as possible. If they go with a young candidate without any head coaching experience, it could mean a total re-build is coming.

I wonder what kind of offers Stotts has… he’s a very good coach. If he knew we were moving one of Rudy or Don I wonder if he’d come on board. I wonder if part of Quin quitting is he knows the group will be essentially the same next year so his voice may not change if the group doesn’t change. I can’t decide if this means dynamite is coming out or if it means they were trying to convince him they could hold it all together and figure it out.

The one guy that everyone said was coming back was Donovan… Quin has been his only head coach… I’m honestly not sure what to think about that.

Safe bet that Gobert will be dealt. Snyder's raging boner for Rudy won't be getting in the way now.

Whatever is happening I assure you Ryan Smith has way too much of a voice and we are going to have issues for a while under his leadership.

Finally some good news. Hopefully the next step is promoting Alex Jensen or someone that will make player development a priority again.

This is the Snyder I loved

Seems like he decided he wanted to be the players' friend more than their coach.

They can get Banchero and make a big deal over him in the Rookies/Sophomores game.

Classy end of tenure by Q.
Not always unerstood him, but I liked him as our Coach and would have liked him to come back.
He managed a lot of up and downs and all kind of changes around.
He understood it was time for him to change and for the team to hear a new voice.
Wish him and his family the best.
