Having not seen a picture of the two missionaries, I am not assuming they are white (although that is a good bet). In this case, I think "American" is a sufficient explanation, that is, the "right people" are American citizens.

I think it has less to do with race and more to do with publicity and nationality.
Vaccines aren't poison.
What we're talking about isn't a vaccine, but a treatment.
No amount of "proper nutrition" will cure some diseases, including ebola.
