Actually, I believe if the Jazz played in the East, they would probably be ranked higher. It looks like some of the East teams are expected to do better because they are in the Eastern conference.
 
I'm fine with that assessment. We still have to earn respect, not just be given it.

Understandable as our schedule, being in the West, is lot more difficult.
 
It looks to me like we are 8th in the West (so we would make the playoffs) but ten eastern teams have better records than us. I think he may be right that we will make the playoffs. I think he's definitely wrong that we finish behind that many eastern conference teams.

When is the last time that a team in the eastern conference who missed the playoffs would have qualified had they been in the west, BTW? It's been years. Maybe decades. I do not think that trend will change this season.
 
ESPN is so 20th century. I'm shocked whenever I hear anyone quoting them. So much better content out there these days that they're desperately trying to keep up with like teletubbies, Baby Einstein, and the new and improved Sesame Street.
