Problems with nukes is that it would kill thousands if not millions of innocents.

There are methods that would dramatically curtail these maniac and any future recruiting but they would be highly immoral and many would object.

Really ****ing horrible. At least this will create internal pressure within Pakistan to take up arms against those sub-human extremists. Because thus far, Pakistan has been a terrorist haven, with terrorist groups enjoying either support or indifference by a large percent of the population. This will turn the whole country against them, since it's no longer only the infidel children who are getting murdered.

What could be more immoral than killing innocent children? I am interested to hear what kind of solution you are offering. I hope you understand that these scumbags do not reason or negotiate and can only be killed. Chemical weapon? drones? biological weapon ( might work huh? vaccinate all local population beforehand and drop some nasty germs in he area? )
And yes, collateral damage would unfortunately happen. In order to remove cancer you need to remove lots of healthy tissue as well. USA army was ready to take down flight 93 with innocent people to prevent bigger problem before passengers did it themselves.

But Siro thats what needs to be discussed - how to solve this mess! Tragedy happened - there is no way getting those kids back now. World needs to think and focus how to eliminate Taliban, ISIS and other extremists so nothing like that would happen in the future.

You do understand that those terrorists live among tribal populations, and that the only way to remove them would be the annihilation of entire towns? This will obvious generate ten terrorists for each one killed. I don't know what naive notion leads you to believe that cancer treatment approach would work equally as well here. Hell, it barely even works for cancer.

Well if they live among tribal populations means tribal populations supporting them via food, supplies, shelter, etc. IMHO they are part of it as well then. Terrorists would not be able to thrive within those populations without approval from them, no way.

I don't know what to do. Nobody does. Some problems don't have easy answers. Your suggestion will 100% make things FAR worse. I can't think of anything that would create more hostile extremists than killing hundreds of thousands of civilians who happened to live in the same region. Even total inaction will be better. A short term solution would be turning Pakistanis against the terrorists. This incident will make it easier for the government to conduct an effective military campaign against the terrorists, and public education efforts about the need for such action.

In the long run Islam must reform. In its current state, there are no solutions. For Islamic terrorists, death is not a threat. It is a reward. The Muslim world must secularize. Will that happen? I don't know.

I don't want to kill thousands of children. I have hard time believing Taliban extremists have their bases/camps in the cities among children. They must have them in remote areas in the mountains/forests/jungle, etc. Find the way of targeting them. As Siro I do not know what is the best solution here. Just frustrating to find out things like that are happening in 21 century. There must be a way to eradicate it though...

You're mistaken. They live in towns and villages among normal people. You underestimate Muslims' support of terrorists. I know Muslims on this forum freak out whenever I bring up that fact. But it is true.

Do they really have a choice in the matter? I'm not denying that many support terrorism, but for those people, this intolerance is not only all they grew up knowing, it's part of the values they have been taught, it's built into the power structure. People support the system they are in because of fallacies like Just World. Killing them off for this accident of birth is inhumane.
