Ah I didn't know that thanks. I still find it more likely they play for the Jazz if they are any good, than a Euro draft and stash player. I find that kind of stupid as well. If your using the D-league as a training league for the NBA the teams should hold the right to players there. Sort of like Baseball works. I don't see why the D-league should be treated different than Europe.

Yes you could fill those stats. Winning is about so much more than stats though. Just on stats Burke could put up those numbers but not help us win, why else would we be replacing him. Defense, leadership, smart play and shots are important. Who are the PGs we could get this off season that could help us win and be a good fit as much as hill? If we replace him with a subpar player that does not help us win more. Its not just about filling spots and stats.

Mike Conley: He is better than Hill he is unlikely to sign here and will demand a 4 year max or near max deal. He is the only starter quality PG in FA this year. Hill is an above average just below all-star starter in the NBA at the PG spot. So the only player above him is Conley who we have little shot at signing and even if we could he would require us to max him for 4 years and that would cost us one of our current starters in the Future due to $.

Rondo: Cant shoot, hurts spacing, poor leadership for young players....
Jeremy Lin: unlikely to sign here, is not as good as Hill, will cost more than Hill
Brandon Jennings: Worse than Hill
Ty Lawson: Worse than Hill

No, I really don't. Marcus Paige and Tyrone Wallace could easily go overseas and we would still retain their rights. That's what Olivier Hanlan did. You don't have to be European to go play in Europe.

I see so no you can't name a player that adequately replaces him at the same or lower cost. That means that anybody else they sign is still 100% irrelevant to the outcome of that trade. BTW they could still sign that player if they desired. The cap is not an issue at the moment.
