Bazemore huh?

Decent age for our group, he's 26. Rebounds well for a SG, 4.6 rpg. 2.4 apg is average. His career 3% is 37% but he is at 42.5% this year.

Might not be a fluke has his mpg is up and as a result he is up in APG, FT%, 3%, RPG, PPG, SPG. He is taking just over 4 3s a game. Plus he is a Hawks player so Snyder would be comfortable with him.

He would certainly fit the team.

Gobert/Withey
Favors/Lyles
Hayward/Hood
Bazemore/Burks
Exum/Burke(Neto)

That looks like a 4th seed to me.

In this line up, Burks and Hood would get too few minutes. We should trade Burks and do a 3 wing rotation, with Ingles and CJ getting filler minutes.

My dream is to see Lyles become a legit stretch 4 threat and Favors develop his three-point shot as well. Every single player on the Hawks can basically shoot the 3.

If we can get Baze, then I think we should shop Burks, Withey, and our 1st-round pick this year.

I'd probably be more interested in trading Burks, Lyles and our 1st. Really good defensive 5's like that aren't easy to come by and to have him behind Gobert gives us 48 minutes of legit rim protection. Burks, Withey and our 1st for Ryan Anderson or something.

I think Withey is a perfect backup for Gobert, and can probably be retained for relatively cheap. Booker shouldn't be resigned. So I think perhaps we get Bazemore, and package Burks +1st for salary + improved 1st round pick?

Trading Lyles at this stage would be a mistake (and it's implausible that they would do it anyway). He doesn't have much value at the moment, but does have much higher potential value down the road. I would rather see how he develops over the next couple of years.
 
Out of our top 6 players Burks is the one that I would be willing to trade first.

As far as Hood and Burks not getting enough time in my lineup. So? Don't we want that problem? So many players worthy of more minutes than they get. When we get to elite status that is a problem we are going to have. You need to have a bench that is worth mor eplaying time than they get but is OK with it because they bought into the system and you're a contender.
