Sorry Jazz fans – Ben is the NBA Rookie of the Year

yes, I know the concept of spacing. Spacing is actually very important, that is why the 76ers have plenty of 3 point shooters who stretch the defense like belinelli, corvington, saric, embiid, redick. Simmons' job is not shooting the 3s, but to orchestra the offense.
So you admit that the value of a 3pt shooter exceeds the simplistic point calculation that you did?

well, it works both way. Having an inside scorer like simmons also allows outside shooters to have wide open looks.
The same can be said for a driving threat like Mitchell. Except Mitchell is a threat both inside and outside, unlike Simmons.

True, except that Simmons is a much more efficient scorer (55%)·
Mitchell's inefficient shooting (43%)is actually hurting the team. Ben's low free throw % hurted the team during the regular season as well. However, Ben is now shooting 71% at the free throw line in the playoff, which is a massive improvement.

But you have to agree that mitchell's 30% 3 point shooting in the playoff is hurting the team, compared to Ben's 50% field goal attempts.

No. No I don't. It's not like OKC's shrugging off him, which still draws a defender out. Even when he's not shooting at that distance he's helping more than hurting, way more than Ben "lewk guis, im gawd in eastern conf" Simmons.

So if you understand spacing, attention, and as Donovan has called it previously "gravity" is far more important.

I beleive mitchell's 1/7 for 3s is one of main.reasons why the jazz lost this 5th match. Rubio's under performance is also another contributing factor for the loss, along with Gobert's foul trouble.

I believe you're not accounting for the time he has the ball, requiring the defense to keep on him. This will allow everyone else on the team more space to work.

So when you can quantify and measure gravity, spacing, and an opposing players full and honest attention, feel free to compare... we'll talk. The answer will still be Ben Simmons isn't a ****ing rookie, but I'll still entertain a fair and earnest discussion comparing the two players.

QS' system is methodic, play with the pass, keep passing in read-react until you get an easy shot or have to ISO outside late in the clock. That is going to spread the assists out over the entire team and lower individual shooting percentages.

BTW, DM's ts% isn't far off from Simmons' and the gap keeps closing.

You live a sad life, Go to the 76ers board where you will get more help like Simmons does to pad his stats and where you can also lie about being a rookie. You ain't welcome here fool
