But seriously, spoiler boxes are awesome. Like UGLI said, they're at least as useful for jokes as for protecting spoilers.

Sorry, I will ruin it even further.

I hate to say but clutchfans forum uses the spoilers button and it's an awesome feature to me. It may be the only good thing there.

Yeah, it's just a nice feature.

I think spoiler etiquette should really just be about thread titles not containing spoilers. The button is useful when people who have read the book or whatever want to post stuff about things that haven't happened yet in a series.
 
I was on a video game site just recently that also had this feature. It did seem useful.
 
so, if this is part of the forum software, is it something that the person making the post has to include at the time the post is made?

...and if they don't?
