Talks don't even start without AT LEAST one of Exum/Hood and a 1st rounder or horde of 2nds (which the Jazz have!). But the Jazz have to send at least a couple of things to build with.

Does Cleveland have any dead salary they'd want to move?

They are also soft as **** at the rim and Love wouldn't move the needle much offensively since they already have plenty of spacing. In short, he'd be redundant there and his weaknesses wouldn't get masked.
 
I just don't buy that the Warriors will be this unstoppable force for the next 3-4 years. It just never seems to work out that way. Every time a super team comes along everything starts to think "OMG they'll dominate for the next 5 years, NO ONE WILL STOP THEM!" Then reality sets in and they come back to earth. Look at the '01 Lakers. Go 15-1 in the postseason and the very next year are lucky to be back in the finals (Kings screwed). 2012 Heat have an incredible season (this was the 28 game winning streak right?) and pretty dominant post season. What happens next year? They need an all-time great shot out of Ray Allen to even force game 7 in the Finals.

I personally believe this GSW team could be the best we've ever seen, but I'm not ready to crown them for the next 4 seasons like the rest of the NBA world.

Trey Lyles was traded for an 11 pick jump in a strong draft. Jimmy Butler was traded for Kris Dunn (nothing but potential), Zach Lavine (nothing but potential and coming off an ACL tear) and a pick swap in a strong draft. Paul George (acknowledged to be a rental) was traded for Victor Oladipo's bad contract and Domantas Sabonis (the 11th pick in a bad draft).

Value is a strange thing in the NBA. Jeff Hornacek and the Knicks could very much value Favors far more than you think. There were rumors that a number of teams were interested in him. Burks seems like a net negative, but he's still only 25 years old and on a nice contract if he rebounds from his injuries. Who knows what a change of scenery does for him. I'm not saying that it's likely, but it's far from impossible. Especially if the Knicks value draft picks and want to build around Porzingis.

I also just don't know, with GSW being what they are, if it's smart to mortgage our developing (cheaper) assets - and their potential future impact - for a guy who will be looking for a new contract at exactly the same time as the point guard you just traded for, while you've got two max level salaries tied up with your small forward and center. If he can pull it off for Favors, Burks, and a pick, that makes a lot of sense. If they want Exum or Hood, we're starting to get into uncomfortable territory for the Jazz's ability to slide in to championship contention once the Warriors begin to decline.

I agree with the idea that the Jazz can only pay one of Favors, Hood or Exum if Hayward comes back. If that's the case, then you consolidate two for one star player and hope it breaks in your favor and you kept the right one.
