Roast me if you want, but I've never thought he was a $35 million player. If he leaves, I'm not going to be heartbroken. It took him 5.5 years to earn his paycheck. Odds are, we would have regretted his contract at some point.

Whoa. I know we're upset, but let's not overreact.
 
You guys see anything about the Jazz meeting with Otto Porter today? Celtics realgm board and some other stuff on twitter. Probably BS, but food for thought.
 
I think he hasn't made a decision because his decision is contingent on either Boston or Utah pulling off another move. He's otherwise known for weeks what the factors are. I think he'll stay in Utah IF Utah does something else. I don't think the Jazz are just sitting on their hands.
 
I'm seriously aghast that nobody from the Hayward team has stepped up with as little as a firm timeline for a real decision. Sooooo much of this disaster is mitigated with the following statement: "As a result of the erroneous reporting, we have adjusted our process. We will be announcing the decision on <this website> at 1800h EST tonight. Nothing sooner." Or some ish.
 
I find it hard to believe we are looking at Otto Porter. He is going to get matched. We would have to way overpay.

If it's true thought that must mean we can't get Gallo.
 
The Jazz don't even have cap-space to offer OP a max if Hayward leaves, so yeah, it sounds like BS to me.

I heard at some point that WAS is paying him the max.

The Jazz would rather have Porter than Gallo, I'm pretty sure. There's a good young core with Gobert, Mitchell and Rubio to continue building on.
