He also said that Hill wants to be back and that the Jazz want him back which is obvious but maybe Hill will take a little less to stay. This was said on 1280 The Zone.

Hayward ain't going anywhere

At this point, I don't think even Hayward knows if he will stay or leave. It all depends upon the offers.

I don't even know who Steve Kyler is. The more time has gone on the more I think he stays. I think, surveying the landscape, nothing really offers greener pastures that doesn't have some serious question marks and risks associated with it. I only see Boston as a possibility but I think he's looking to finally rise with a team (as we're doing) rather than roll the dice on "yeah we could be pretty good in a few years" with another team -- he's already gone through that here.

We already know what the offers will be though.
Jazz will offer the max with an extra year and more money.
Other teams will offer the max.

Hayward chooses the more money with the jazz.

I really feel the home-team advantage with the CBA is really overblown, even for the super max. It always looks like a lot more money by counting the last year that most players are going to opt out of anyway. The difference based on the % yearly increases ends up being negligible. That said, I think he stays.

If he does leave, I hope he goes to an up-tempo system. I would love to watch him play that way.

Truth is, no matter where he goes, I'm rooting for him. He's a stud.

I agree except th extra year gets dismissed sometimes and I don't think it should. Make it a player option and it is a huge injury insurance policy.

Unfortunately anything they do to change the hometown advantage could also be viewed as a hometown penalty unless the player is a super duper star.
