Stimulus Checks

Wanted to get people's thoughts on future stimulus checks, if they occur. Should future stimulus checks cast a wide net, or be more targeted to try and assist those most impacted by the pandemic? Should those who are still able to work from home, or living on social security or disability still get a check, if they have seen no change in their income?

If the imposed quarantine lasts longer than mid-May, than yes people should get another round of stimulus checks. To me the justification for this is that people are not choosing to be stuck at home with no jobs, it was enforced by the government. So if we are going to be forced to stay home and not be able to work to provide for our families because of the stay at home orders, than the government needs to keep paying citizens to keep them afloat as much as possible in the meantime.

On a side note, for those of you who are getting the stimulus checks, please be responsible with your money! Don't put your house in jeopardy with frivolous spending on things you don't need.

I bought a $800 laptop on Amazon last week, it's suppose to come the mail today. Up until today it was shown as charged to my account. For w/e reason when I got the Trump Bucks the charge was removed from my account. Crossing my fingers something got royally ****ed and I just got a free laptop.

Why not? If you feel guilty, spend it all at your local businesses or donate it to charity.

For me, it’s not about guilt. It’s about many individuals who need more than just the $1,700 or whatever it is they received and could get more if governments weren’t so completely inept and had a system in place.

Because i feel like this money should go to people who are out of work. To people whose lives have been affected by the pandemic.

On the other hand, my cruise got cancelled and i cant get my money back from Delta so my life has been affected by the pandemic i guess.

I spent mine. But all on Chinese companies...

I bought the new Huawei P40 phone that's really nice and paid for the first gym membership ever in a decade. I'm on paid vacation until things get better! I'm really enjoying my Huawei watch, laptop, and cell phone. They are really nice products and are so convenient. I can leave my house now with just my phone and watch and pay for everything, open all the doors to my apartment and complex, get on the subway, start my motorcycle and a everything. It's really nice! Now I get Google and China to spy on everything I do but still well worth it!
