How can our medical community be so out of touch with patients and the real world? So now I have an infection in a tooth. It's causing me a lot of pain. I'm in between on my pain medication prescriptions so I'm currently out of anything strong. So I inform the dentist that I've been popping ibuprofen like candy, 4 at a time 3 or 4 times a day to deal with it. He says "I'll give you something for the pain". What does he give me? 800 mg Ibuprofen. Exactly what I've been taking and told him is doing nothing. Do they really believe that if it comes from a prescription it must just automatically be stronger or something? As advanced as our medical system is in general it's just amazing sometimes how ****ing stupid it is.

Dude that much ibuprofen will damage your kidneys. My mum is in constant pain, we saw a pain specialist on Tuesday who prescribed her some new meds, they made almost no difference their thinking is that when they put her pacemaker in they caused nerve damage in leg/groin. Life is hell in constant pain bro, mum wakes me up two or three times a night cause i can hear her screaming and crying.

Nerve pain is so awful. I wake up frequently due to nerve pain in my feet and face. My mother is very deaf without hearing aids, so I fortunately don't wake her up with my moans and screams.

I can only hope for organ failure. So far it has eluded me. Coming up on 25 years since my first chemo treatments. Cancer couldn't even do me in.

I tell my wife that I'm her curse. Until she learns whatever lesson she has to learn, she's stuck with me.

Honestly though, can't tell you what an awesome woman I'm married to. Unfailingly supportive and unconditional love no matter all the **** we've been through, or that I put her through. I don't know why I got so lucky there. I married up for real.
 
I just watched the final trailer for The 3 Body Problem coming out on Netflix in a couple of days.

The book series was literally life altering for me. I haven't read a more impressive and impactful sci-fi story since I was an impressionable adolescent.

I was at first very excited that this was going to be made into a series. I was then horrified that it was going to be made by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

I literally cried when I watched the trailer, because it looks lame as ****. They are going to destroy a very great work... again.

I want David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to be punished for their crimes.


Anyway, in other news Shogun is absolutely fantastic. Watch that.
