They have pools in Japan. They basically have no guns in Japan. Pool death rates about the same - gun death rates about 100X more in USA. Is problem in Japan or in USA?

Border thing is just a small part of so many things. I don't want us shipping guns to criminals and causing other deaths. While not American deaths how Mexicans were killed with those weapons? No thanks.

Waiting period, what can be done in 10 days can be done in 3-5. Mental health records must be included.
National registry? No thank you. No way, no how.
Measures to restrict straw man purchases? Depending on the measure's exact wording I could be on board.
I could support a modest increase on ammo taxes. Say an additional 5-7%? Thoughts? Should it be earmarked for something? Like gun awareness programs?

I'd also like to see the loophole closed on gun show sales. And depending on how exactly it was written I might be persuaded to support penalties and/or criminal charges to gun shops that are repeatedly bad in their record keeping and who they sell to and have they sell said weapons. Recently saw an article about 2 gun shops (in Chicago I think) where something like 40% of guns in homicides in that city were bought from these 2 shops.

well more children die of drowning so if it is about PREVENTING children from dying.
shouldnt pools alsp be banned

also 1 of leading causes is traffic related accidents, should cars be banned.

well if i had to give up my pool and car to keep my gun i would be happy cus a gun secures my freedom to live and the pursuit of liberty!
a gun to me is more important than a pool and a car.

Are you really that stupid or you just ignorant? Why you ignore the fact that restricting guns in numerous other countries works!
Here another example why guns should be controlled. But you would most likely say that he had right to defend himself.

i don't blame murder on the tool that the murder is committed with. if that's ignorant and stupid then yes i am ignorant and stupid.
wether that tool is a gun a car or a knife, i dont blame that tool or the people who manufactured that tool.
i blame the person commiting the act.

and being ignorant and stupid is a matter of perspective, from my perspective you are EXTREMELY ignorant and naive when it comes to gun.

fact that you suggested gas pistol in earlier post prove my point cus if someone threatens my live with a gas pistol he can shoot 100 times and it wont stop me, unless he miraculously hits in my in both eyes blinding me, even then i would charge foward.
o what do you think gas pistol stops people, just plane ignorance. how do i know? i have been shot a few times by a gas pistol i have seen others get shot with it.

Do you consider a swimming pool a weapon? Are you able take swimming pools around with you and go on killing sprees? Are swimming pools created with the intent to kill?
Come on dutch, i know you are dumb but you are not really so dumb to think that swimming pools and guns have allot in common are you?

doesnt matter what i deem a weapon. because i deem lots more stuff a weapon than the average person.
these are some of the things i consider weapons.
Hot water
broom stick
a bunch of keys on a keychain
a pillowcase
a stone
a car
a chair.

Just like it stupid to ban peoples cus its a leading cause of death for people
just like it is stupid to ban kitchen knife because it could kill people
just like it is stupid to ban a pillowcase and broomstick cus someone can use it as weapon.

a. because they are weapons?
