Summer 2015: FIBA games of Utah Jazz players

Just checked it, Rubio was getting like 4-5 apg in 22 minutes.....

His shooting efficiency was awful though and it's still awful.

exactly, and people were like 4 assists per game!?? That's AWFUL for a PG! Same thing for Tomic now. He averages like Greg Monroe level of assists (last I checked) but anyone with a brain knows who the better passer is.

Uhh, Greg Monroe is a great passer. I wouldn't say it was that clear. Tomic makes some flashy post passes, but Monroe coming out of college was known as an elite passing big.

bruh pls.

this. Stifle Tower is kinda freakign out about nothing here. It's just a comp, dude. Easy.
I'm not "freakign out." The post was made that Turkey is going to be very good and Korkmaz' comp is Gordon Hayward. Merely pointed out that, IMO, comps are ridiculous and let's wait until Korkmaz puts up the numbers to back that claim. Sorry if I offended you by posting my opinion, which is what I thought fan boards were for. Oh wait, I'm not sorry.

anybody who thought 4-5 assists in 22 minutes playing in the Europe leagues isn't great wasn't paying attention.

5 assists in 22 minutes in the NBA puts you right among the leaders, then you add how hard it is to get credit for an assist in Europe, that is elite.

His best season of assist in Europe per 48 minutes is nearly the same as his best season in the NBA in assist per 48 minutes.

Besides, Rubio was averaging hilariously low assist numbers before he got to the NBA, and ppl would point to it being all like "his passing is overrated!!!!". Dude comes here, averages almost 10.

4 apg in 22 minutes is high for Europe. Stat keepers are ridiculously stingy with assists. Also good passers usually benefit from playing with better athletes and in more open court game in the NBA.

they've been steadily talented for what, the past ten years? Talent is always there, the coaching isn't.

Might take a few years but they will have at least fringe NBA-level talent at all 5 positions, which I don't think has been the case, like many countries they lacked top-level guards.

Seems like a lot of the countries are missing out on top level point guards. I think Serbia and Spain are exceptions to this, but you see that many of the countries ringer is a point guard. Turkey looks real strong for the future. I think them and France will probably be the biggest challengers to the US in the future. Spain has some nice young guys as well. From outside of Europe certainly Brazil looks pretty strong as well.
