What's new

Suns are looking at AK to replace Amar'e

Looked, as in past test. The Jazz probably told them to take a hike after looking at the Suns' lack of assets.

Well, on second thought, it probably was actually Amare Stoudemire that they were dangling and Amare probably told both sides to take a hike.

It would be awesome if they could give us Lopez...

The thing that irritates me the most, is that did the Jazz really not see all of this crap happening a few years back? What, do they have blinders on or something?

Did they really not see Boozer as a FA trying to get a lot of money? The dude is one of the best PFs in the game!

Did they really not think that Millsap would have raised some eyebrows?

Did they really not see Wes Matthews getting some looks?

Did they really not see the financial bind that we'd be in?

Did they really think this poisonous AK47 contract wasn't going to come to a head? Did they really think that paying a role player franchise bucks was a good thing?

Now, we have the potential to lose some key players, Boozer and Matthews, because of AK47's contract. One poor/average player is going to cause us to lose one really good player and one good player. Two starters we're losing because of our 6th/7th man.

This sucks. It irritates me to no end.

The nba is part guessing game game, part logic. They resigned ak after he had a great year; did they know he would be injured half the season every season? Did they know boozer would thrive in this system? Did they know he would even command any money at free agency after all his injury woes? Its all a big gamble with any transaction. Did they know the undrafted kid would make a name for himself?

I don't think its that they had blinders, just were a little irresponsible when times were desperate after stock and malone is all. Just how rudy gay and joe johnson just got big contracts the f.o.'s will regret later on

They didn't have to extend him that offseason. The Jazz are totally culpable for the error.

I mentioned 3 years ago we should look to clear enough cap space to resign Wes. That was blatantly obvious as soon as we lost to the Spurs in the WCF.
