It's not much more stupid than some of the trade threads that have been started recently on this board.
Would you trade this spring's #13 pick for Millsap and the Jazz's lower lottery pick in 2013?
It actually is, believe it or not:
More stupid than "Jefferson and Harris for Rondo and then tank it"?
That's the depths of stupid posts.
That's not THAT stupid (I'm ignoring the tank it part). Rando+filler big for Harris+Jefferson would be good.

Let's turn this idea on it's head: We trade them Millsap for their pick straight up and get cap room, draft Lillard, sign Nash, then re-sign Millsap after next season.

Nash is really old man. We need a point guard that can develop chemistry with the youth within the next 2 years.

Not sure if you're pulling a Bluesrocker here, but Millsap isn't exactly "youth", no one else is leaving, and playing with Nash will make everyone better in the short and long term (especially the rookie backing him up). Signing Nash is also the closest thing that Corbin skeptics will get to a renewed sense of optimism (for good reason).
Most importantly, as it stands right now, there is nothing being developed at the position in the first place.
