Surprised Fess hasn't been picked up

Fess should still be on THIS team. He is a defensive stud and we lack that at other positions. Lots of teams do well with a defensive center who does little on offense. The Jazz are just still too much in love with the ole Stockton-Malone duo and will accept poor defense if they get a big who is reminiscent of Malone.

For all who say he is not motivated, not in shape, does not care, etc etc: 1) How do you KNOW that? 2.) If he still produces, and he does, why does 1 matter?

Fes has good athletic ability for his size, but he has no fundamentals to speak of. If you took Millsap's brain and put it in Fes's body, he could be an all star. But that doesn't work, does it?

Right now Fes is half way round the world passed out on a couch with a bong in his hand while some Euro-trash TV is blaring in the background. What exactly is there to eat crow about?

I'm sure he might get another look or two because of his freakish size; but I'm willing to bet he's already played the majority of games he'll ever play in the NBA..

You are being ridiculous... 4 blocks per half is absurdly high...
If he got one cig for every possession that the other team failed to score while he was on the floor, then you might be on to something.

yes, he has a major knee injury. Fes isn't playing for anyone anytime soon. As lazy as he is, he may not be able to play next year ether.

Look I know he has a lot of talent, and he can help a team play better defense, but his pee sized brain and lack of commitment negates all of it. That's why I'm the biggest Fes hater on this board. Fes is the biggest wast of space in the nba, if he doesn't want to even bother to work on his game or conditioning how is he ever going to get minutes! Fes has been in the league for 3 or 4 years, if he hasn't figured this out by now he never will

Yea I was unaware of the knee injury, I'm sure if he was healthy he would be getting NBA offers.

Players at his level are not going to be picked up until after they recover from injury.

It's unfortunate. I think Fes had all the ability to be a coach selection all star a few times. His athleticism and his size was a great combo and I think his reasonable ceiling (with desire being the only thing holding him back) is an Arvydas Sabonis in terms of talent and effect on the game (not in the sense that their games are similar).

Due to not being serious regarding the NBA, he isn't keeping himself in shape, meaning the injuries are starting to add up as he gets older. If we hadn't drafted Kanter, who looks like he's already a better rebounder than Fes, MAYBE we'd have re-signed Fes for his D.
