Surprisingly Awesome Jazz Statistics

OK, this will be a great place to post awesome little known factoids about your Utah Jazz.

Kicking it off:

You already know that Rudy Gobert holds opponents to a league leading 41% fg% on a 32.8% contested rate.

But, did you know that Jeff Withey holds opponents to a 42.6% fg% on a 37.3% contested rate. Good for 4th in the league for players that actually get more than blowout minutes?

John Stockton had more than 16 assists in 231 games. He had more than 26 assists 3 times. He had more than 6 steals 63 times.

The Utah Jazz are the only team in the NBA whose location or team name begins with either a U or a J. We really should market the whole UJ thing better cuz... we ownin it! To put it into statistical terms the Utah Jazz are 100% in their use of the letters U and J to begin a word in their team name while the rest of the league is 0%.

Further only 2 othe teams, the Suns and the bucks(Kudos 2 u's)use a u at all and the Jazz are the only team to use a J. how do you like them japples?

Also the Utah Jazz are the only team that you can use some of the letters to spell Zujaa, which is Swahili for... well it's gotta be somethin in Swahili, right?

Is anybody else concerned that four posts in to an epic stats thread we are bragging about how the team spells their name?

Not concerned. But I think it's safe to say that when the cloud of stupidity settles. And it awaits its next uprising. A debate about letters of our team name is about all we have to discuss. For one it's Utah, secondly, we have no championships to talk about. Thirdly, 95 % of the people on this site cant out think someone that is retarded 100% of the time. It's not a concern as much as it is expected.

The Jazz are one of 4 teams who don't gave a plural team name. The others are the Heat, Magic, and Thunder.

Lol

Going to repeat this:

Neto, Hood, Hayward, Favors, and Gobert was the eighth most effective lineup in the NBA of units that played at least 300 minutes together last season.

John Stockton had more than 16 assists in 231 games. He had more than 26 assists 3 times. He had more than 6 steals 63 times.
Nitpick: Should read '16 or more assists', '26 or more assists', and '6 or more steals'. As written, your numbers are incorrect.

In the regular season, Stock had:
16 or more assists 210 times
26 or more assists 3 times
6 or more steals 62 times

In the regular season and playoffs, Stock had:
16 or more assists 231 times
26 or more assists 3 times
6 or more steals 64 times

It would be surprisingly awesome to see an overlay on this graph of guys like Magic, Chris Paul, Isiah, etc. Get on it.
Yeah, although overlapping bar graphs isn't the way to go. Might do multi-color line graphs of top point guards in a few days; I can't afford to procrastinate any more today.
